Commonplace Cultures is a collaborative project between the ARTFL-Project at the University of Chicago, the Oxford eResearch Centre at Oxford University, and the Australian National University. Awarded a Round Three Digging into Data grant in 2014, it brought the results of its data mining efforts to the general public, making the more than 40 million identified shared passages drawn from the ECCO (Eighteenth Century Collection Online) database available in searchable form.
